In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Addition

This release also introduces the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature techniques: Naoe reveals a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
